1 - Skiing for all levels

The Praz de Lys-Sommand resort offers beautiful slopes on the upper Fleury with a 360° view of the Alps. The green and blue slopes are perfect for beginners, while other parts of the area are suitable for more experienced skiers. With 55 km of slopes , you can ski between the fir trees and then on vast white expanses, in a calm and very pleasant resort, between 1,200 and 2,000 meters above sea level. It's ideal for beginners, improving your skills, and having fun.

2 - Learn to lead sled dogs

If you dream of traveling across vast white expanses pulled by dogs, Praz de Lys-Sommand lets you make your dream come true. For an hour, half a day, or a full day, become a real musher. After an introduction to the dogs and basic instructions, you'll learn how to sled.
Introductory 45-minute rides are also available. Settle into the sled and discover the Praz-de-Lys and Sommand plateaus in a different way, accompanied by an experienced musher.

In summer, cani-rando or Cani-Kart take over for walks like no other where owners and dogs are linked by a harness and experience a new form of communication.

Outings take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

5 - Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing

Praz de Lys-Sommand is the ideal place for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing . Many trails are marked. For cross-country skiing, there is an introduction to skating on varied trails. As for snowshoeing, you have a wide choice. Outings can be done with a guide to get off the marked trails. There are also unusual evenings with snowshoe hiking and fondue in an alpine chalet on arrival or even the snowshoe day with Swiss fondue, the snowshoe hike & relaxation. From June 1st to September 30th, there are walks on the lookout for large animals in the heart of the Rontalon mountain pasture, hidden in a cabin on the edge of the forest.

6 - Winter Fat Bike or Fatscoot

For winter cycling, there's Fat Biking. Enjoy outings lasting more than an hour after the slopes close. On a groomed course and equipped with a headlamp, let the enormous tires squeal on the snow. Fat Biking is an all-terrain bike specially designed for snow. An instructor will accompany you for one and a half hours, three hours, or a day. The activity is accessible from age 10.
If you find cycling too easy, try the Fatscoot, a kind of snow scooter with four-inch tires and a telescopic fork to hurtle down a green slope for agility and a blue slope for thrills. Suitable for ages 8 and up.

7 - Climb trees with the Agile Beech

L'Hêtre Agile teaches you how to climb trees, whether you're a child (from 7 years old) or an adult. It's also a lesson in ecology, a discovery of trees... This fun, sporty, and educational activity is practiced with the greatest respect for trees and nature in general. From June 1st to October 30th, you can contact L'Hêtre Agile to discover trees in a unique way.

8 - Heritage visit

Discover the 13th-century Chartreuse de Mélan with its park featuring contemporary sculptures and its cloister, listed as a Historic Monument. The Chartreuse is a former monastery dedicated to women. Its 12th-century church houses a superb painted decoration dating from the 15th century.
Go listen to the Taninges carillon, the largest in the department with its 40 bells. Climbing the 127 steps leading to the keyboard, you can discover a permanent exhibition on bell-making as well as a beautiful collection of harmoniums. Audition every Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

Praz de Lys-Sommand offers an introduction to this Olympic discipline that combines shooting and cross-country skiing. First, you'll try cross-country skiing on flat, downhill sections before tackling the climbs and stopping at the shooting range. Two former members of the French national team will explain everything you need to know about using an air rifle. You'll try it lying down, without skis, then attempt shooting standing up, like the champions.
