1 - Ski paradise with the Portes du Soleil area
From 1000 to 2300 meters above sea level, Morzine and Avoriaz are two resorts that allow you to enjoy skiing in all its forms. In the heart of the Portes du Soleil , the ski area offers 600 km of slopes served by 197 ski lifts and 400 km² of snowy playground for all levels and all desires.
Take a detour to The Stash, an eco-friendly freeride and freestyle spot in the heart of the forest. It's a benchmark spot in Europe for its wooden models scattered throughout the course. Younger visitors will love Lil'Stash, an enchanted forest with play areas, tree houses, suspended walkways, slides, and a barbecue... all free of charge. It's a real snowpark suitable for children.
2 - Snowshoe walks
For a change from skiing , put on your snowshoes and head out for a walk in the mountains, with no other sound than your footsteps on the snow. Make your own tracks and keep your eyes peeled for chamois. You can set off on your own thanks to the many marked trails and enjoy incredible views of the mountains. Specialized guides will introduce you to unspoiled wildlife and unsuspected views.

3 - Put on the skates
Morzine's outdoor ice rink welcomes you with its festive lights and rhythmic music. The indoor rink also offers the chance to cheer on the local ice hockey team, the HCMA.

4 - Visit to the Séraussaix farm
Enjoy a lovely walk from the resort to visit the Séraussaix farm . This is an opportunity to discover the animals and taste delicious products made on site (milk, cheese, charcuterie, terrines, etc.). First, there is a guided tour of the farm before tasting the farm cheeses.
Milking is open from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and hot drinks and snacks are provided.
Payment only in cash at the Avoriaz 1800 tourist office.

5 - The Igloo Village
If you're wondering where to go out in Avoriaz-Morzine for an unusual experience, head to the igloo village .
This is the perfect place to enjoy a superb view of Avoriaz from a giant igloo with a bar sculpted entirely from a mixture of ice and snow. The marvelous decor is designed by professional sculptors, and the light projections add to the magic of the place.
Access is free. The on-site bar serves drinks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; brunch options are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or a Savoyard fondue dinner under the igloo.
6 - Dog sledding or ski joëring
If you love nature, animals, and sliding, dog sledding is perfect. The more athletic can try driving a team. Head to the Col de la Joux Verte to meet the musher.
If you prefer horses, opt for skijoring, which combines the joys of skiing with those of horseback riding. With skis on your feet, let yourself be pulled by a pony or horse for 30 minutes, an hour, or more.

7 - Learn biathlon

8 - Hit the slopes in a Yooner
Yooning is a new way to descend snowy slopes. It's a kind of sled, lightweight, comfortable, and easy to steer. It's equipped with a metal blade that acts like a ski and a shock absorber. Accessible to all, yooning is supervised by professionals who will explain the basic principles.

Our recommendations
Avoriaz and Morzine host numerous events throughout the year. Avoriaz: the mountain festival in July, the yoga festival in August, Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB in June for mountain biking between France and Switzerland, the Danse Festival... but also the Grand Carnival Parade in February or Rock The Pistes during the second half of March. On the program, unusual pop/rock festivals in the heart of the slopes with live concerts every day and international artists.
In March, Red Bull Infinite brings you some impressive skiing and snowboarding. Morzine offers the Morzine Ice Party, a frosty experience to share on skates throughout the winter season.
